Causes of fear and anxiety in dogs
- Transport- Car travel or other transport can cause heightened fear and anxiety.
- Noise- Amongst other sounds, the noise from thunderstorms or fireworks is a common cause of fear and anxiety.
- Lifestyle changes- From a new job to a new baby, even small lifestyle changes can prove stressful for dogs.
- Veterinary visits- Routine visits for annual vaccinations, dental checks, nail clipping and anal sac expression can lead to increased stress and anxiety.
- Post operative- After surgeries such as routine neuters or orthopaedic surgeries dogs should rest. However they often feel anxious with changes in routine, collars and bandages in place.
- Boarding & kennelling- The environmental changes that a dog experiences when boarding or kennelling and separation from their owner can be very stressful.

Feeding guide
Calmex can either be fed to your dog whole, or the capsule can be opened and mixed with food. When possible, for best results administer Calmex half an hour to an hour before your dog is placed in a stressful situation. |
