Carprieve Chewable Pain Relief for Dogs 75mg

Carprieve Flavoured Tablets provide effective treatment for chronic cases of musculo-skeletal inflammation in dogs, such as degenerative joint disease.

Commonly referred to as Osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease is a progressive, long-term deterioration of the cartilage surrounding joints, which causes stiffness and long periods of inactivity. Carprieve is a non-sterodial-anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) effective in controlling the pain and inflammation associated with Osteoarthritis in dogs. When given as directed by your vet, the active ingredient, Carprofen, affects the production of tissue relaxing hormones that gives anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. With these properties, Carprieve tablets can also be used in the management of post-operative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries in dogs.

Doseage: For oral administration only. Dosage: 2 to 4 mg/kg bodyweight per day. Dose, frequency and duration of treatment will be dependent upon clinical response of the condition under treatment. Initial therapy at 4 mg/kg bodyweight per day given in 2 equally divided doses is generally recommended. Subject to clinical response, the dose may be reduced to 2 mg/kg bodyweight per day administered as a once daily dose.

Active Constituents: Each tablet contains either 75 mg carprofen in a palatable base.

Safety: DO NOT exceed the stated dose or the dose prescribed by your vet.
