Fortekor Heart for Large Dogs

Fortekor is for the treatment of heart failure in dogs. In dogs with heart failure, Fortekor lowers the blood pressure and volume loading on the heart. Fortekor leads to a significant extension of the life span of dogs with heart failure and also improves clinical signs, notably reduction in coughing and improvement of the quality of life.

Doseage and Administration: Fortekor is a once daily oral medication and can be given with or without food. The duration of the treatment will be unlimited and your vet will determine the correct dosage for your pet The manufacture recommends the following-

Weight of Dog (kg) Dose of Fortekor 20mg 21 - 40 1/2 Tablet 41 - 80 1 Tablet

Active Constituents: Each tablet contains 20mg benazepril hydrochloride

Safety: Store in a dry place. Do not store above 25°C. Each time an unused half tablet is stored, it should be returned to the open blister space, inserted back into the cardboard box and kept in a safe place out of reach of children. Fortekor is not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating bitches. A small number of dogs may exhibit transient signs of fatigue Clinical trials have shown Fortekor to have good renal tolerance but monitoring is recommended in animals with kidney problems.
