Methimazole or Hyper-T SpotOn for Cats

Thyroid hormones have an important role in controlling the body's metabolic rate. Cats with hyperthyroidism tend to display
  • ravenous appetite
  • weight loss
  • increased drinking
  • hyperactivity or agitation
  • vomiting
  • rough coat or poor coat condition
If you notice any of these signs, discuss them with your vet and see if hyperthyroidism might be the cause.

How It Works:

Methimazole is concentrated in the thyroid and interferes with the production of thyroid hormones. The transdermal formulation allows absorption through the skin barrier when applied to the inner surface of the ear.

Doseage and Application:
  • Once daily Hyper-T Earspot takes away the need to administer tablets and allows an easy, accurate and stress-free treatment that your cat won't resent.
  • A measured doseage of the gel is rubbed onto the inside hairless part of your cat's ear until it is absorbed.
  • Your veterinarian will determine the correct doseage and will need to regularly check your cat's condition.

Active Constituents:

10%w/v (100mg/ml) of methimazole
