Onsior Flavoured Tablets help with pain and swelling after surgery. It can also be helpful in treating orthopedic pain in dogs short-term. You should notice your pet feeling more comfortable quickly but results can vary from animal to animal.

Onsior works by specifically targeting COX-2 enzymes in the body that are responsible for pain and inflammation. The COX-1 enzymes, present in the gastrointestinal tract and kidneys, are responsible for platelet function. These are spared with Onsior and should decrease the gastrointestinal side effects and risks associated with this type of medication.

Product Features A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication. Moves rapidly through the bloodstream and stays longer at the points of inflammation that need relief from pain and swelling. COX-2 selective so specifically targets sites of inflammation and pain. COX-1 sparing which minimises possible damage to your pets gastrointestinal tract, kidneys and platelets. Easy to administer with small flavoured tablets. Can be given as an injection by your veterinarian as necessary.

Doseage: Your veterinarian will determine the correct dose of Onsior for your dog. The manufacturer recommends- Dogs weighing between 5 and 10 kg should be given 1 tablet daily.

Application: This medication can be given to your dog without food or with a small amount of food. Tablets should be given whole.

Active Constituents: Onsior tablets contain robenacoxib.

Safety: This medication should not be given to your pet if he/she is taking steroids or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Other medications that can cause problems when given with Onsior include ACE Inhibitors (eg. enalapril, benazepril), aspirin, digoxin, fluconazole, furosemide, and aminoglcysides. Tablets should be stored at room temperature away from children and pets.
